Capture it, Cook it and Eat it
As the oft-noted 'Monarch of the Glen', the red deer stag is a truly Scottish icon, and largest mammal in the United Kingdom.
With an estimated 400,000 red deer in Scotland, they will never be too far away. The magnificent red stag with their impressive antlers are seen year round, and tend to spend the summer in the higher, more remote areas. Come winter they move down for accessible food. Without doubt the best time to see and to hear them is during the annual rut each autumn. The loud, very distinct ‘barking’ and clattering of antlers echoing through the hills creates a memorable experience.
For a full day of shooting these magnificent beasts along with the experienced tuition of award winning wildlife photographer Philip Price it offers the perfect vehicle for photographing some of Argyll's more magical wildlife.
